Self approved Student Activist, Kwabena Citizen who is popularly known as OD4 is on behalf of CONCERN VICTIMS OF NSS/GN AND SOME APEX E-ZWICH CARD HOLDERS OF 2018/19 year group of National Service Personnels signaling a warning to the CEO of NSS, Mustapha Ussif to pay them their allowances as arrears as well as their transportation feeby October 2, 2019 before they embark on a demonstration.
He wrote ” We Concern victims of Nss /GN and some Apex E-Zwich holders are preparing to demonstrate against the CEO and national service secretariat, if our monies are not paid by the close of the month. Our allowances as arrears must be paid in addition to the transportation fee by 2/10/2019.
If it doesn’t happen, the concern leaders and its affected members across the country will register their displeasure and mount pressure on Nss secretariat nationwide to demand their monies or perhaps their delayed payment of allowonces.
Three weeks ago, the secretariat published a statement that all national service personnels are by this communique informed that allawonces for the last month has duly been paid.
Not knowing that GN and some Apex bank E-Zwich holders were left out. Notwithstanding, another publication was made for we the affected members to effect the changes of which we did last three weeks ago but nothing has happened.
What we the concern leaders and its affected members don’t understand is that, it is the same GN E-Zwich that our last ten months allowonces were paid into so the question is ‘ why this sudden changes of One E-Zwich to another?
We were told to effect changes of which we did for the past six months but all to no avail , we even tabled a motion to that effect and nothing was done to it by management.
We are by this circular informing the NSS Secretariat that , we are all done with the mandatory service to the nation and mandatory shall we receive all our allawonces as our entitlements without delays.
We tabled our plight before a reputable FM station base iin Accra on Wednesday to reach the Nss secretariat at the Headquarters, so we are hoping for the feedback hopefully by the close of the week,We called national to enquire from them and they said and I quote” we are still working on it and it will soon be done”. And the question is how soon will it be?
We ex-nss personnels for (2018-2019), want our monies Not in the shortest possible time but Now!!!
We are doing this to end the canker once and for all, for future generations not to face the same predicaments”
He continued “We are giving the NSS Secretariat a one week Ultimatum to pay back all our allowances if not, we are 100% ready nationwide to embark on mass demonstration against the secretariat inability to pay us all our allowances as arrears”.
