The investiture was a colorful Traditional ceremony that witnessed the attendance of many prominent chiefs within and outside the Gbawe Traditional area.
According to the newly installed Chief of Gbawe Nii Boi Quartey, the teeming youth in the Weija-Gbawe Constituency, within the Greater Accra Region will enjoy educational scholarship being created purposely as an intentional intervention.
The statement was made during an investiture ceremony for Nii Boi Quartey as the substantive Gbawe Maŋtsɛ and Nii Abbey Rafui Okanfla as Gbawe Gonsɛ Dzaasɛtsɛ respectively.
Nii Boi Quartey encouraged the youths of Gbawe not to allow anybody to deceive them irrespective of what has happened in the past, where people have tried all possible means to retard the progress of the Youth, “Rather continue pushing for the agenda of moving forward in everything you do and also move Gbawe to be ahead in the area of development not only in Ghana, but beyond the shores of the country”, he added.
Speaking along the sidelines of the investiture ceremony, Naa Hajia Mariam Sissy, Noryaa Maŋyɛ for Gbawe and an Executive Member of the Ga Adaŋgbʒ Traditional Council expressed her joy at the installation of Nii Boi Quartey.
” it’s a well deserved role since NII Boi Quartey, apart from being a true decendant of Gbawe, is also well versed with the customs and traditions of Gbawe.
The Noryaa Manye of GAMU who doubles as the Noryaa Manye of Gbawe, urged the Gbawe Mantse to use his youthful exuberant to bring more development to Gbawe and surrounding communities.
Nii Boi Quartey takes over the leadership of the weija- Gbawe Traditional tool after the burial and Tradition rites of the late Nii laryea Faamlite 11 , late Gbawe Mantse.
