As the National Democratic Congress (NDC) prepares for its Regional Elections, a call has gone out to members to prioritize the unity and strength of the party over personal ambition.
In a statement, Paa Kofi Ewool, Deputy Constituency Secretary for Ablekuma Central Constituency, emphasized that no individual is bigger than the party and no ambition should override the collective purpose of the NDC.
According to him, elections should not be turned into a battlefield for personal interests, political vendettas, or divisions. Instead, he said, they should serve as an opportunity to reflect on party structures, deepen internal democracy, and reaffirm commitment to the party’s values.
“The real test of leadership is not how many people one can command, but how much unity, loyalty and progress one can inspire,” he stated.
Mr. Ewool urged members to be guided by history, noting that leaders will be remembered for the decisions they made to strengthen the party, not the divisions they created to satisfy personal ambitions.
“The NDC must be bigger than all of us,” he concluded.
